Colored Pencil

Randi Mackey will teach an advanced beginner/intermediate class in colored pencil featuring a macaw. This macaw has many different textures to develop, from the smooth beak to the delicate feathers. We’ll be drawing this on colored paper, which will help bring out the depth in the feathers.

Her teaching style is easygoing, with demonstrations before you get into the drawing, lots of one-on-one attention, fun while practicing, and teaching new skills. No drawing skills are required, as she will use a minimal-trace outline of this macaw. There will be some written tutorials to help you follow along.

Randi is currently studying with internationally award-winning colored pencil artists, Lisa Ann Watkins and Cynthia Knox. This class is for all levels of experience—no drawing skills required to enjoy and succeed. Be amazed at what you can create with colored pencils.
