Child Care
The Community Action Agency of Siouxland offers an Early Head Start program located on the campus of Western Iowa Tech Community College. This program serves children ages six weeks to three years who live in Woodbury County and is provided at no cost to families who qualify.
Early Head Start supports learning through play, creative expression, and guided activities, recognizing that strong relationships are the foundation of early learning. The program is designed to enhance the development of young children while promoting healthy, stable families.
In addition to high-quality early childhood education, the program offers comprehensive services including medical, dental, hearing, vision, developmental, and behavioral screenings. Children with disabilities are fully included and supported. A mental health consultant is also available to assist children, families, and staff, ensuring a holistic approach to care and development.
How to Apply
To be eligible for this program, families must live in Woodbury County.
