Adding a Class

Students may add a class until the first scheduled day of class. After the first day of class, approval from the instructor is required. Instructors can provide their approval by emailing admissions, or by signing the Add/Drop form available in Admissions and Advising.

Withdrawing From a Class

Dropping a class does not automatically mean a refund will be issued. Students who stop attending and do not officially make a request to withdraw by the course refund deadline, will not receive a refund of tuition and fees, will be charged for the class, and may lose some of their financial aid awards. Students who are dropping a class should contact Student Financial Services to determine any potential impact on their financial aid eligibility. 

You may drop in the following ways:

  • On MyWIT Academic Self-Service card using “Student Planning”. Courses cannot be dropped via MyWIT on or after the class start date. 
  • By contacting Admissions at 712.274.6404 or info@witcc.edu
  • In person with your advisor. Schedule an appointment.
