In order to qualify for free tuition, you must complete your FAFSA by midnight on June 30. You will need WITCC Federal School Code - 004590. We have created a list of helpful tips and ways to avoid the most common FAFSA mistakes. You can read our FAFSA tips here.

The next step is applying to Western Iowa Tech Community College by filling out our free online application. Your financial aid is processed after you apply to WITCC. To apply to the college, you will need to create an account. Keep your username and password handy, so that you can start and stop your application at any time. We will save your progress.
A few days after completing your WITCC application, you will receive your college acceptance letter. The letter contains your MyWIT login credentials. Make sure you hang onto this information. Use your credentials to log onto MyWIT. MyWIT is the student portal which contains all of your financial aid information, grades, schedules, and more.
In MyWIT, check your school email and My Financial Aid section often. It's how the college communicates with you about your financial aid awards, notifications, and billing statements.
