Title IX Team Training
All Title IX matters are handled by officials who receive annual training on sexual harassment, including domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
The Title IX Coordinator, Investigators, Decision-makers, and anyone facilitating an informal resolution process are trained on:
- The definitions of sexual harassment
- The scope of the College’s education programs and activities
- How to conduct investigations and grievance processes (including hearings, appeals, and informal resolutions, when applicable)
- How to serve impartially by avoiding bias, conflicts of interest, or prejudgment of the facts
Decision-makers also receive training on:
- Technology used during live hearings
- How to determine whether questions and evidence are relevant
- When information about a Complainant’s prior sexual behavior or sexual predisposition is not relevant
Training materials do not rely on sex stereotypes and are designed to promote fair and impartial investigations and decisions.
