Recently celebrating 30 years, the program continues to deliver strong outcomes for graduates entering the workforce.

WITCC’s Veterinary Assistant program partners with the Sioux City Animal Adoption and Rescue Center to give students hands-on experience in real-world animal care. Through regular shelter visits, students build skills and confidence while supporting pets in need.

Each year, Automotive students and instructors build a custom vehicle for the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, transforming classroom learning into a national showcase. In 2025, their 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer was named one of Car and Driver’s "10 Coolest, Craziest Cars of SEMA," earning national attention. Students presented their work, connected with industry leaders, and refined technical, teamwork, and problem solving skills that prepare them for performance automotive careers.

WITCC’s Phi Theta Kappa students partnered with local artist Cherie Lee to create a 2,000-square-foot community mural celebrating education and belonging in Siouxland. The downtown landmark was completed through student leadership, community support, and funding from the Gilchrist Foundation.
- KWSR Brings Student Voices to Siouxland

WITCC’s Audio, Video, and Broadcasting program launched KWSR-LP 94.3 FM, a student-run radio station bringing hands-on learning and student voices to Siouxland. Supported by a Gilchrist Foundation grant and community partners, the station operates 24/7 as a real-world training lab for future media professionals.
