At Western Iowa Tech we do all we can to work with our military veterans in furthering their education. Our VA Certifying Official is located on our Sioux City campus in Admissions. Federal/State tuition assistance is processed through your individual Guard or Reserve unit.
Monthly Verification
Chapter 30, 33, 35 and 1606
Veteran students who will receive benefits under the GI Bill® (Ch. 30, 33, 35 and 1606) must verify monthly attendance. VA offers a text message and an email option to report. Watch for VA’s notice to select your preferred reporting option. Your reporting triggers the Monthly Allowance for Housing (money sent to your direct deposit account).
