Watercolor Painting

We will be painting a basket of apples (not 20 apples in a basket, just a few) using layering and blending techniques, from lightest, medium, and darkest values throughout the highlights and shadows of this interesting piece. This will be a fun piece for all levels of experience.

Randi Mackey's teaching style is step-by-step group demonstration followed by individual help. She makes the classroom experience relaxed and fun while introducing each technique used to create the textures in the more rustic basket and smooth, shiny apples.

Randi has studied with internationally known watercolor instructors Paul Jackson, John Salminen, and Soon Warren, as well as Anne Abgott and Jean Weiner. She holds an Iowa Watercolor Society Signature membership. Randi enjoys bringing enthusiasm and humor to the classroom so come expecting to have fun while learning.
