Western Iowa Tech Community College invites alumni, community members, students, and their families to campus for a free Fall Festival on Saturday, October 10, 2026, as part of the college’s 60th anniversary celebration.
 
The Fall Festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Western Iowa Tech’s Sioux City campus, bringing together family activities, food, entertainment, and Comet athletics. Festival activities include inflatables, yard games, cookie decorating, temporary tattoos, and more, with food trucks on-site throughout the day. Comet athletics will celebrate Sophomore Night throughout the day, with Men’s Soccer at 10:30 a.m., Volleyball at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., and Women’s Soccer at 1 p.m.
 
Beginning at noon, guests can enjoy free lemonade from Pearson’s Lemonade, an alumni-owned business, and Dirty Popcorn while supplies last. A free showing of Super Mario Galaxy begins at 12:30 p.m.
 
The festival is also an opportunity for visitors to experience Western Iowa Tech’s campus. Guests interested in taking a look around campus or touring the residence halls are welcome to do so during their visit. The Fall Festival is free and open to all, and guests can stop by for their favorite activities or make a day of it with family and friends.
 
Western Iowa Tech is celebrating its 60th anniversary throughout the 2026-27 academic year, recognizing six decades of education, workforce training, and connection to the communities it serves. The Fall Festival is one of several events inviting the people and communities who have been part of Western Iowa Tech’s story to celebrate the milestone together.
