Job Description
5-15 hours per week- $11.00 per hour
ENGLISH TUTOR:
Position Description: English Tutors assist fellow students in developing reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills while helping them achieve course objectives through one-on-one and small-group tutoring. Tutors work collaboratively with faculty and Tutoring Center staff to promote student success.
Desired Qualifications: Completion of Composition I and II or other advanced English course with an A or B
MATH TUTOR:
Position Description: Math Tutors assist fellow students in understanding mathematical and statistical concepts, strengthening quantitative problem-solving skills, and achieving course objectives through one-on-one and small-group tutoring. Tutors work collaboratively with faculty and Tutoring Center staff to promote student success.
Desired Qualifications: Completion of Statistics or another math class with an A or B
NURSING TUTOR:
Position Description: Nursing Tutors assist fellow students in understanding nursing concepts, developing critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills, and achieving course objectives through one-on-one and small-group tutoring. Tutors work collaboratively with faculty and Tutoring Center staff to promote student success in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
Desired Qualifications: Completion of Nursing I and II with an A or B
ACCOUNTING TUTOR:
Position Description: Accounting Tutors assist fellow students in understanding accounting concepts, applying financial and managerial accounting principles, and achieving course objectives through one-on-one and small-group tutoring. Tutors work collaboratively with faculty and Tutoring Center staff to promote student success.
Desired Qualifications: Completion of Principles of Accounting I and II with an A or B
