Job Description
5-15 hours per week- $10.00 per hour
Responsible for developing engaging digital and print content to promote library services, resources, and events. This role focuses on multimedia creation, ensuring digital accessibility, and collaborating across campus to enhance the library's online presence.
Key responsibilties: Research and generate creative ideas for social media posts, campaigns, and promotional posters for library staff review and approval. Gather and record raw video and audio footage. Edit multimedia content, including adding accurate captions and ensuring all material meet ADA compliance standards. Submit all drafted content and final designs to library staff for approval prior to publication. Update and maintain specific library web pages (LibGuides) to keep resource information accurate and current. Partner with relevant academic departments to co-create content, promote departmental intitiatives, and foster campus-wide engagement.
Job Qualifications
Must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing, strong organizational, creative, and research skills. Familiarity with popular social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and digital accessibility best practices. Basic experience with video/audio editing software and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut). Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset, reliable, ability to work in a team, tech-savy, and adaptable.
