Western Iowa Tech Community College's Beta Zeta Mu chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) has earned national recognition for its award-winning College Project, "Celebrating Excellence in Education."

The project has been selected for publication in the sixth edition of Change Makers: Phi Theta Kappa Journal of Student Leadership. Western Iowa Tech's project was one of only 15 selected for publication from nearly 500 College Project submissions from PTK chapters across the country.

"Celebrating Excellence in Education" brought students and the community together through a student-led art initiative honoring educators and the impact they make. The project provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate leadership, creativity, service, and collaboration while celebrating excellence in education.

Change Makers highlights outstanding student-led projects and shares examples of leadership and service taking place within Phi Theta Kappa chapters nationwide. The 2026 edition is expected to be released later this month.

Congratulations to Western Iowa Tech's PTK members and advisors on this outstanding achievement and national recognition!
