Western Iowa Tech Community College hosted the first annual Graphic Design Student Portfolio Day on May 5, bringing together students and industry professionals for a day focused on creativity, career development, and real-world connections.
The event featured a keynote presentation by Kent McCuddin, followed by an industry panel that included Jeff Gordon of Blue Earth Marketing, Pete Laskie of Revival Animal Health, Adam Kolbo of Wilson Trailer, and Alison Gates of Chatterkick. The panel shared insights on career paths, creative processes, and navigating the evolving design landscape.
Students then participated in one-on-one portfolio reviews with professionals, receiving personalized feedback on their work and valuable guidance as they prepare to enter the creative industry.
