Summer may bring a different pace to campus, but Western Iowa Tech is still here to support you. Whether you’re taking summer classes, preparing for fall, or simply looking for a place to study, many student services remain available throughout the summer to help you stay healthy, connected, and successful.
Food Pantry
The WIT Food Pantry is available to all registered students 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Visit the front desk during business hours for access. After hours, contact campus security to access the pantry.
Counseling Services
Your well-being matters year-round. Counseling services continue throughout the summer, providing a safe, confidential space to discuss stress, personal challenges, mental health concerns, or anything else that’s on your mind.
Campus Clinic and TeleHealth
The WIT Campus Clinic is open on Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. during the summer, plus TeleHealth is also available. Expanded clinic hours will be offered during portions of July and August. Visit the website for the current schedule and appointment information.
Library Services and Summer Reading
Whether you’re working on a class project or reading for fun, the library has you covered. Library staff are available to help with research, databases, and locating the resources you need. Registered students also have free access to Libby, offering thousands of digital eBooks and audiobooks to enjoy at home, while traveling, or anywhere your summer takes you.
Free Tutoring Through the CLC
The Comet Learning Center (CLC) continues to provide free tutoring and academic support throughout the summer. Whether you’re enrolled in summer classes, preparing for fall, or looking to strengthen your study skills, the CLC is here to help you stay on track.
Study, Recharge, or Take a Break
Campus remains open throughout the summer, offering several welcoming spaces for students, including quiet study areas, the Reflection Room, Military Learner Room, Mother’s Room, and Sensory Room. Whether you’re catching up on coursework, studying between classes, or taking a moment to recharge, you’ll find a space that fits your needs.
