Job Description:
5-10 hours per week - $10.00 per hour
Students participating in the Housing Work-Study Program play a vital role in supporting the daily operations, safety, and community engagement within campus housing. To be successful in this position, students must meet and maintain the following requirements:
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with front desk operations, including answering phones, emails, and greeting residents and guests
- Support housing staff with administrative tasks (filing, data entry, room assignments, tracking occupancy, etc.)
- Conduct routine checks of housing facilities and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Assist with resident check-ins, check-outs, and room inspections
- Help plan and support housing programs, events, and community-building activities
- Monitor shared spaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and policy compliance
- Provide customer service and serve as a resource for residents
Work Expectations:
- Work scheduled hours consistently (typically up to 15 hours per week)
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and positive communication at all times
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow all housing and campus safety protocols
- Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and teamwork
- Attend required training sessions and staff meetings
Performance Standards:
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Follow all college policies, including the Student Code of Conduct
- Maintain confidentiality of student and housing records (FERPA compliance)
- Show initiative and willingness to assist beyond assigned tasks when needed
- Represent the Housing Department and WITCC in a positive and professional manner
Desired Qualifications:
Able body – position requires to travel from building to building on a daily basis, punctual and dependable.
