Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC) is proud to share that its Mass Communications students were recently recognized by the Iowa Motion Picture Association (IMPA) for their strong showing in the 48 Hour Film Horror Project.

The student team wrote, filmed, and edited an original short film titled "The Box" within the competition's 48-hour timeline. Their work was screened during the event showcase, where IMPA board members praised the students for their creativity, technical skill, and professionalism during both the viewing and the post-screening panel discussion.

IMPA, a nonprofit organization that supports and celebrates filmmakers across Iowa, commended WITCC for helping develop emerging media talent and expressed enthusiasm for future student projects.
