Apply for Graduation

Students completing a certificate, diploma, or degree must apply for graduation so the college can officially confirm all academic requirements have been met. This is required even if a student does not plan to participate in the May 2026 commencement ceremony or intends to continue taking courses in future semesters.

All Fall (December) and Spring (May) graduates are invited to take part in the Spring Commencement Ceremony, which will be held on May 8, 2026, at the Tyson Events Center.

To ensure a student’s name is included in the Commencement program and to become eligible to participate in the ceremony, the graduation application must be submitted by the published deadlines.

How to Apply

  • Log into MyWIT > Graduation > Graduation Application
  • Fill out required information and submit.

Graduation Application Dates

Fall 2025: September 22 – November 21, 2025
Spring 2026: February 9 – April 17, 2026

Degree Audit

A degree audit is used to confirm that all program, credit, and GPA requirements have been met. After submitting the graduation application, the college will automatically complete a preliminary degree audit. Students will only be contacted if there are deficiencies in course requirements, credit hours, or GPA. A final degree audit will be conducted after final grades are processed at the end of the semester.

  • Priority Review
To receive priority review, submit the graduation application by October 24, 2025.
  • Degree Audit Weeks
Students may also schedule a degree audit during one of the designated times below.
Fall 2025 Degree Audit Week: October 6-10, 2025
Spring 2026 Degree Audit Week: March 2-6, 2026
  • REGALIA / Cap & gown pick up
    Caps, gowns, and tassels will be distributed April 14 & 15, 2026 (9am - 4pm).

If you miss those pickup dates, regalia will also be available in Admissions starting April 20 (M-F, 8:15am - 4:30pm) through May 12. Regalia is FREE to keep.
    • Honors, Military, & PTK Cords
Student in Honors (3.5+ cumulative GPA), military, and Phi Theta Kappa will receive recognition cords during regalia pickup. GPA for honors is based on courses completed throughout the Fall term, since Spring grades are not finalized before Commencement.
