Welcome to College Now

Please make sure you securely save all log in information.

1. Log into your Western Iowa Tech Canusia Account; https://mycollegenow.witcc.edu/
   1. In the top right, you will find your WIT ID #
   2. Under Register for Classes, My Requests tab, you will see all classes you are registered for. You are only registered if the status shows 'Registered'.
   3. You will log into your MyWIT account to access your classes through Canvas.
2. Log into your MyWIT account:
   1. Username Example: wit123456@witcc
   2. First-Time Student: If you are a first-time student taking any classes through WIT, you will use the default password using the following: Capital letter of your first name, lowercase letter of your last name, 2-digit month, 2-digit day, 4-digit year, followed by witcc. Example: Flmmddyyyywitcc
      1. Your will be asked to change your password. Please follow the guidelines listed to create your unique password. 
   3. Returning Student: If you changed your password previously, use the password your created.
   4. Use the password reset button if you do not remember your password.
   5. For any issues, contact the College Now office at the information below.
3. Log into your WIT Student Email:
   1. Log out of any other Outlook emails before accessing your WIT email.
   2. To locate your WIT email; on your MyWIT homepage, click the green circle in the top right corner with your initial. Select your profile and then view your email under personal details. 
   3. Go back to your MyWIT homepage and click on the card on your MyWIT dashboard that says Student Email.
   4. Make sure you put in your WIT email and click next. You will not have to put in a password if you are already logged into your MyWIT account. 
   5. Keep this email open to receive your Cengage Activation code during a later step.
4. Log into your class through Canvas:
   1. Please make sure you have downloaded the OKTA MFA app on your phone. 
      1. Additional OKTA set-up directions located on your MyWIT dashboard (card is titled OKTA)
   2. On your MyWIT dashboard, click the card that says Canvas.
   3. First-Time Student: You will be prompted to set up your multi factor authenticator (MFA) called OKTA. 
   4. Returning Student: If you have set up your OKTA account previously, you will follow the same log-in steps, you do not have to set up a new account.
   5. OKTA login information:
      1. Username: WIT Email (located in your MyWIT profile, green circle top right of your MyWIT dashboard)
      2. Password: Same as your MyWIT Password
   6. Please use the OKTA reset button if you are not able to log in with your password.
   7. Once in your Canvas account, your classes will show on your dashboard or by going the left side, selecting course, all courses. 
   8. Contact the College Now office at the number below with any questions.
5. Set up your Cengage account: 
   1. Cengage is the digital library for many WIT textbooks.
   2. Go to the course on your Canvas dashboard called 'Cengage Activation/Student Resources.' 
   3. First-Time Student: You will find the links and directions to set up your account. A video is available to view to help set up your Cengage account.
   4. Returning Student:  If you have set up an account previously, you will just need to log-in to activate your account for the school year in August.
   5. Always use your WIT email when logging into Cengage.
