Here at Western Iowa Tech, we know that life can be hectic. Juggling school, home, work and the many other things that life throws at us can leave us stressed out and in need of a little self-care. Sometimes you just need someone who will listen, no matter how small the problem. WITCC's very own counselor, Josh Van Zweden, is available on campus Monday - Thursday to talk one-on-one about whatever life has thrown your way. His office is located in the Dr. Robert H. Kiser Building, right next to the admissions desk. Call, email, or click here to set up an appointment.
"My name is Josh Van Zweden, licensed therapist with a Masters in Social Work certification and a certification in drug and alcohol counseling. For most of my career I have worked in the field of addiction helping people from various backgrounds, cultures, socioeconomic statuses, races, ethnicities, religions, genders, and ages. I love being with people, meeting people, learning their stories, and most importantly I love helping. I am a person-centered, solution-focused counselor familiar with Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, positive psychology, and the PERMA theory of well-being. I am excited to be a part of the team here at WITCC and looking forward to meeting you!"
