Student Center FAQs

  1. Who is eligible for free access to the Dr. Robert E. Dunker Student Center?
Any student registered for an active class has free access to the student center. This is another good reason to register for classes early!
  2. Do I have to have a special pass to have access?
You will need to bring your student ID every time you come to the student center. If you don't have a current ID, you can get one in the admissions office or in the student center. Please bring a photo ID with you to get your student ID.
  3. What if my classes don't start until next semester?
If your classes start in the next semester, and you have a valid student ID, you have access to the student center.
  4. What hours can I work out?
We will keep current hours posted to the left. Remember, holidays or breaks when the college is closed, the Student Center is also closed.
  5. What equipment will I have access to?
The student center has locker rooms with lockers available on a per use basis (bring your own lock and take your things with you when you leave). There is also a sauna in each locker room for your use. There is a strength training room with weights and weight machines; cardiovascular equipment with built-in TV screens; indoor walking/running track; basketball/volleyball courts; Wii games; and more.
  6. Do you have any individual fitness classes?
There are private rooms for additional fitness classes you may wish to take such as aerobics, Zumba, dance, self defense and more. Call or stop by the desk for class schedules.
  7. Do I need to bring anything else with me?
You will need a clean pair of athletic shoes to wear in the student center. This is to help us keep the floors and equipment clean and in good repair. If you wish to use the shower facilities, you will need to bring your own towel(s) and hair/body wash. It is recommended you have a pair of shower shoes to wear to prevent slipping in the locker room.
