Admissions & Advising at WITCC

Admission at Western Iowa Tech is based on an open-door policy. The college accepts any high school graduate (or equivalent) who seeks general admission. Application for general admission may be completed online. Contact Admissions & Advising with any questions you may have. Use the following Getting Started list to work through the process of applying, registering and getting started at WITCC.

YOUR PERSONAL STARTING POINT
You can start by setting up a MyHub site to give you specific information to help you get started in the program you choose at WITCC.

APPLY ONLINE
The online application generates the login and password for MyWIT so you can register for classes online, check your grades and more. It takes approximately three business days to get your account set up.

COMPUTERIZED PLACEMENT TEST (CPT)
Not every program requires a CPT test for placement. Please check with your admissions advisor or contact the testing center for specific information.

APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID
Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after January 1 for classes starting in the fall. WITCC's Federal School Code is 004590. You can also apply for scholarships on MyWIT.

STUDENT HOUSING
If you are looking to stay in student housing, you will need to apply right away as housing fills up quickly.

REGISTERING FOR CLASSES
When registering for classes the first time at WITCC, we highly recommend you speak with an admissions advisor first. Stop into any campus or call us. If you are already on track with your academic plan, you can register online at MyWIT.

PAYING FOR CLASSES
Use your financial aid, pay with cash, credit/debit card or check, or set up a payment plan with FACTS Tuition Management on MyWIT. Sponsored students should contact their sponsoring agency.

GET YOUR BOOKS
Purchase your books online at our online bookstore and have them delivered or held for you. Or you can stop into our Sioux City campus and shop for your books and supplies in person.
