Beta Zeta Mu, the Western Iowa Tech Community College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for community college students, has received top honors and awards during the regional Phi Theta Kappa Conventions on February 28-March 1, 2019 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Ankeny, IA.
Beta Zeta Mu was named recipient of the 2019 Regional Distinguished Chapter Award. Given to only one chapter in the Iowa region, the award is based on the chapter’s overall score achieved in their scholarly and service projects. Beta Zeta Mu also earned the 2019 Five-Star Chapter Status for the 17th consecutive year from Phi Theta Kappa’s Five-Star Chapter Plan Program.
