A student from the Western Iowa Tech Community College Graphic Design program received an award in the 4th annual Iowa Community College Advertising + Design Invitational (ICCADI). This year’s winner was Alex Monk. Alex graduated with an Associate’s Degree from WIT’s Graphic Design program in 2018 and was employed by West Rock in Sioux City upon graduation.
The ICCADI design competition recognizes and celebrates original design created by students enrolled in graphic design programs at Iowa community colleges all across the state. “We are so proud of the work our students have put toward their future,” says Lynne Wilcke, graphic design instructor at WITCC.
The ICCADI rewards individuals whose projects demonstrate engaging, innovative, effective, and thoughtful design solutions in six categories: identity, poster, packaging, publication, animation, and web + interactive. The entries are judged by top local, regional and national design professionals. Winners in each category are awarded cash and prizes, and the top designs will get statewide recognition as a traveling poster exhibit over the next year.
