Western Iowa Tech was selected to participate in a statewide media tour showcasing examples of innovative programs. The media tour will take place on Monday, March 11th at 1:00 at Western Iowa Tech 4647 Stone Ave (Parking Lot 1, Entrance 1).
The media tour will include a peek into four programs including Pharmacy Technology, Nurse Aide, Robotics and Automation and Video Media Production. These programs were selected based on their innovative technology and specific skillsets that are critical to the Siouxland workforce.
The following individuals will be in attendance: Barbara Sloniker from The Sioux City Chamber of Commerce, David Gleiser MPA Director of Rural Economic Development, Mayor Bob Scott, Dan Moore from the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors, Jarrod Nagurka, ACTE Media Specialist, Sandy Miller, Iowa ACTE Executive Director, and Lisa Stange, ACTE Region III Vice President, Iowa ACTE Secretary, and Iowa Department of Education Liaison to the Board, and Kendra Erickson, Iowa ACTE President.
