Western Iowa Tech Community College’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (honor society for community colleges), Beta Zeta Mu, received top honors and awards at the Regional Convention this past February and continued to receive top awards for their contributions and projects at the national level during the society’s National Phi Theta Kappa Convention on April 6–8, 2017 in Nashville, TN. Many of these awards stem from the program’s “Honors in Action” project and the students’ outstanding motivation and execution in the programming this past year.
PTK hosted its annual convocation on “Critical Issues in Mental Health for Siouxland and Beyond” last November.
