Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC) will hold its seventh annual Show & Shine open house event to display outstanding vehicles and related technologies on Wednesday, May 11, from 5 to 8 p.m.
In conjunction with the Tri-State Cruisers, auto enthusiasts club, the event will be held at WITCC’s main campus in parking lot 4 at 4647 Stone Ave. in Sioux City.
Highlights of the event include the unveiling of this year’s WITCC ‘77 Corvette project car, a cooperative effort of students in several programs: auto body, automotive technology, audio engineering, and graphic design as well as the official start of raffle ticket sales for last year’s project car, a ‘69 Camaro. Other activities include drawings for individual Snap-on items for door prizes and the raffling off of a complete Snap-on tool chest. Additional “man cave” items will be auctioned. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Proceeds of all fundraising will go to WITCC automotive student scholarships.
Tours of the auto body facility will be available, as will demonstrations of the paint simulator. The Show & Shine is free and open to the public. All are encouraged to bring their own car or motorcycle. All makes and models are welcome.
