The Western Iowa Tech Community College Legal Assistant Association, Iowa Legal Aid, and attorneys from the local area, are collaborating to offer a free legal clinic April 23, 2016 for low-income individuals and families in Siouxland who need legal assistance.
The clinic will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Advanced Sciences Building, Room L416/417 at Western Iowa Tech’s Sioux City campus. The nearest entrance is #11.
The clinic will concentrate on three areas of advice: l) family law, including filing for divorce without an attorney, 2) landlord/tenant law, and 3) power of attorney document information and advance directives. Power of attorneys and living wills can be completed at the clinic at the request of the client. No ongoing representation will be provided after the clinic.
