Supporting Your Path to Success

Western Iowa Tech invites individuals with special needs and their support networks to attend our annual Special Services Fair. The fair brings service agencies together under one roof, giving you the opportunity to work directly with them to build a service plan that makes sense for you. Whether you are looking to strengthen employability skills, access mental health supports, connect with health systems, or learn more about the options available in our community, this event is for you.

Vendors & Agencies Attending

Meet with local service providers who support students and families as they plan for life after high school. Agencies confirmed to participate include:

  • All Abilities Coalition - Discusses activities and needs of people with disabilities
  • ASK Resource Center - Supportive management services
  • Aveanna Healthcare - Provides home nursing help/services for child to adult
  • Boys and Girls Home and Family Services - Outpatient mental health services
  • Catholic Charities - Education and mental health services
  • Community Action Agency - Many supportive living services
  • Fire Foundation - Inclusive education for Catholic children, special needs access to church
  • Goodwill - Numerous services
  • Iowa Department for the Blind - Vocational and learning support
  • Iowa Disability Access Point - Regional state level disability group
  • Life Skills Training Center - Job search and day-hab services in LeMars
  • Molina Health Care - Community engagement
  • New Hope Village - Carroll, IA Adult and community living services
  • New Perspectives, Inc. - Day hab and skill building
  • Parent Partner Organization - Provides mentor suppor for families working with HHS
  • Pier Center for Autism - Supportive services for people w/Autism
  • Sioux City Knights/Special Olympics - Athletics teams
  • Siouxland District Health - Community health services
  • Stride Autism Center - ABA, group therapy, full day program for children age (2-6)
  • Trivium - Housing and day-hab
  • Visiting Angels - In-home nursing services
  • Voc Rehab - Job support and placement services
  • Project SUCCESS - IEP-based college support program
  • LIFE Bridge - New academic and career support program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Accommodative Services - ADA-based student support services
  • Mental Health Therapy - On-campus therapists
  • Recruitment - Assistance with questions about WIT
  • Student Activities - WIT clubs and campus activities 
  • HiSET - High school equivalency program 
  • English Language Learning - English language courses
  • Comet Learning Center - On-campus tutoring available to the community
  • Advising - Guidance on academic programs at WIT

Now Accepting Agency Registrations

Siouxland agencies who provide services to students and families with disabilities are welcome to participate. This is an excellent opportunity to connect with new people in need of services after they graduate from high school or college.
