SPRING WITCC MUSIC EVENTS

Jazz Fest
February 26 & 27
This two day event is an educational and competition based festival. Middle schools and High schools from the Tristate area will compete for placing and trophies. Students experience performing for an audience, getting critiqued

by judges, and working with clinicians to improve their performances. It is hosted by the WITCC Choral program under the guidance of festival coordinator William Darwin, Jr. The WITCC Audio Engineering program assists with sound support and recording.

Jazz Night
March 5, 5–7 P.M., Overlook Café
This jazz concert will feature the instrumental music of the WITCC Jazz Band.

Applied Lessons Recital
April 13, 7 P.M., Cargill Auditorium
This recital will feature students enrolled in any of the Applied Lessons classes through WITCC. The recital will portray a variety of styles, languages, and genres from many facets of the musical world. 

Faculty Voice Recital
April 20, 7 P.M., Cargill Auditorium
Professional Baritone and Vocal Music Instructor at WITCC, William Darwin, Jr., will present a faculty voice recital.

Spring Celebration
May 4, 7 P.M., Cargill Auditorium
This choral concert will feature the vocal music of the Western Iowa Tech Concert Choir and Chamber Ensemble under the direction of William Darwin, Jr. This concert will depict a variety of music from multiple composers and multiple genres. William Darwin, Jr., will present a faculty voice recital.
