What You Need to Know for Fall

New and Returning Student Guide for Fall

Like everybody else in today's world, Western Iowa Tech Community College is adapting to our new environment. We want you to know what you can expect at WITCC this fall.

Introducing FLEX Courses

WITCC is excited to welcome students back on campus for classes this fall! We are offering both online courses and new FLEX courses. FLEX courses combine face-to-face instruction with a few virtual components. We know many of our students prefer learning in a classroom and WITCC is honoring that choice. Our FLEX courses deliver as much course material as possible in-person for a hands-on, engaging classroom experience.

What to Expect for Fall

We want you to be aware of some changes you may experience this semester:

  • You may alternate days in the classroom.
  • Your class might have modified lab times.
  • Some of your classes may occur via Zoom and/or Canvas LMS online learning.
  • You will be able to access your course shell the day before class.
  • You will be able to access your eBooks one week before class.
  • The college is requiring all students and employees wear cloth face coverings that cover their nose and mouth while on campus.
  • You are asked to maintain social distancing practices while on campus.

Housing Move-In

If you applied for housing, move-in dates have been set for Saturday, August 22 and Sunday August 23 from 8:00am - 5:00pm. In order to reduce the number of students moving in at the same time, individual times and dates have been assigned. Check your email for your assigned time.
