Teen Drivers Ed

To register for Teen Driver's Ed, please call us at the number to the left between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. In order to register for the program, your child must have their learner's permit. Payment is required at time of registration.

Western Iowa Tech offers professional driving instruction for teens. The class will offer 30 hours of class time and be supplemented with 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training for students to learn parallel parking, freeway merges and lane changes, accident prevention and driving in different traffic environments. Considerable classroom time is spent on the effects of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and ways to safely handle emergency situations such as stalls, breakdowns and blowouts.
