The Risks

Driving is risky because of the following factors!!

1. Contact with the Public -- Some of the public is goofy or crazy or dangerous
2. Money is exchanged with the public -- never a good idea with goofy, crazy, dangerous folks
3. Working in isolated areas
4. Dealing with cultural and language differences (upfront and in person)
5. Working late night or early morning hours is risky -- well it is more risky than many things
6. Many times taxi drivers deal with strangers (sometimes, really strange)
7. Many times drivers work when they are fatigued

The public has a general disrespect for the profession, which often results in drivers being treated poorly.
