The Risks

Retail is risky because of the following factors!!

1. Contact with the Public -- Some of the public is goofy or crazy or dangerous!
2. Money is exchanged with the public -- never a good idea with goofy, crazy, dangerous folks
3. Delivery of goods (some of them very desirable)
4. Much of the work is done alone or in small numbers (Who said there was strength in numbers?)
5. Working late night or early morning hours is risky -- well it is more risky than many things
6. Many retailers are located in high-crime areas -- everybody wants donuts
7. Many times retail personnel deal with strangers (sometimes, really strange)
