Rocklin Conference Center
RocklinJim and Fern Rocklin have been strong supporters of students at Western Iowa Tech Community College for many years. Their desire to make a difference in the lives of students went one step further recently with a leadership gift to the College. In recognition of this generous gift, the newly renovated conference center will now be known as the Rocklin Conference Center.

The Rocklins' commitment to Western Iowa Tech began with Jim's election to the Board of Trustees in 1976. Jim served on this Board for 16 years, including one year as Board Chair. Fifteen years later, in 2007, he accepted a position on the Foundation Board, and currently serves as the Board Chair. Fern has been an adjunct instructor for many years at WITCC, and did her doctoral dissertation on WITCC titled "Serving the Unserved and the Underserved: Western Iowa Tech Community College, The First 33 Years (1966-1999)." Jim and Fern established an endowed scholarship fund in 1998 in memory of Jim's father, Isadore Rocklin, founder of Rocklin Manufacturing Co, which annually supports students enrolled in engineering programs.

We greatly appreciate the generosity of the Rocklins!
